Board of Directors
Russell Ray,
Chairman of the Board of Directors, served on
TechnoBrands Board of Directors for five years before being
appointed to Chairman in early 2002. Prior to joining the
TechnoBrands Board, Mr. Ray held several senior positions in
the airline industry including serving as President and CEO
of World Airways, Pacific Southwest Airlines, and Pan
American World Airways, and as head of commercial marketing
for McDonnell-Douglas. Mr. Ray is a graduate of Occidental
College and the University of Southern California graduate
school.
Scott Andrews, Board Member, is a founder and
managing partner of the Private Equity Group of a McLean,
Virginia based investment firm, Winston Partners. Prior to
founding Winston Partners, Mr. Andrews was Chief Financial
Officer of WorldCorp, a NYSE holding company whose holdings
included businesses in the transaction processing and air
transportation industries. Other experiences include serving
as Vice President-Finance of Presidential Airways and
various positions focused principally on corporate finance,
leveraged acquisitions and corporate restructurings at
JPMorgan. In addition to serving on TechnoBrands Board, Mr.
Andrews is a member of the Board of Directors of World
Airways (NASDAQ: WLDA), The Hobart West Group and AMSEC. Mr.
Andrews earned a B.A. with Distinction from the University
of Virginia and serves on the Boards of the Christian
Children's Fund, the Virginia Athletics Foundation and the
Hill School.
Peter Dow, Board Member, has served on TechnoBrand's
Board for over seven years. Prior to joining the Company's
Board, Mr. Dow served as Vice Chairman, Chief Operating
Officer and Chairman of the Executive Committee of
Cambell-Ewald, an advertising and marketing communications
company. Additional experiences include the positions of
Director of Marketing for Chrysler Corporation and all of
its Divisions. In
addition to serving on TechnoBrand's Board, Mr. Dow has
served as an outside Director of ten Public and Private
Corporations. He currently serves on the Board of Masco
Corporation (NYSE) and Adayana, Inc. (Private)
Palmer Garson, Board Member, is a Managing Director
of Richmond, Virginia based private equity firm, Jefferson
Capital Partners. Prior to co-founding Jefferson Capital
Partners, Ms. Garson developed extensive corporate finance
and investment banking experience while working for Morgan
Stanley & Co., A.G. Edwards, and Mellon Bank. Ms. Garson's
primary focus as an investment banker was the execution of
mergers and acquisitions. In addition to serving on
TechnoBrands' Board, Ms. Garson currently serves on the
Boards of Directors for several companies including
360Commerce AtHome America, HCCA, iLIANT and Flat Rock
Grille. Additionally, Ms. Garson serves on Duke University's
Board of Directors for Trinity College and the Boards of
Directors for the Collegiate School and the Darden School
Foundation. Ms. Garson has a B.A. from Duke University and
an M.B.A. from the Darden Graduate School of Business
Administration at the University of Virginia.
R. Timothy O'Donnell, Board Member, is a Managing
Director of Richmond, Virginia based private equity firm,
Jefferson Capital Partners. Prior to co-founding Jefferson
Capital Partners, Mr. O'Donnell worked as an investment
banker for PaineWebber in New York where he served as a
First Vice President in charge of the Leisure and
Entertainment Corporate Finance Group. Mr. O'Donnell has
extensive experience with the equity and debt capital
markets transactions. In addition to serving on
TechnoBrands' Board, Mr. O'Donnell currently serves on the
Board of Directors of several Jefferson Capital porfolio
companies including Global Trade Technologies, MicroMass
Communications, The Hobart West Group, NotifyMD, Prestige
Brands International, PowerPact, and VCG. Additionally, Mr.
O'Donnell serves on the University of Virginia's Health
Medical Services Board. Mr. O'Donnell has B.A., J.D., and
M.B.A. degrees from the University of Virginia.
Mark Gordon,
Board member and President & CEO, joined the company in
January 2002 and is responsible for the daily operations and
the strategic direction of the Company. Mr. Gordon was
elected to the Board of Directors in September of 2003. Mr.
Gordon began his career at Procter & Gamble where he was in
marketing/brand management for 10 years and eventually rose
to corporate VP, responsible for the operations of the $700
million Mexican business unit. Mr. Gordon has also worked as
VP of Marketing for an early stage telecommunications
company, Broadslate Networks, and as senior VP of
Marketing/Strategy for Owens & Minor. Mr. Gordon holds B.S.
and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Virginia. |
